Paying homage to the distinctive architecture and inspired design in Phoenix’s history, Liv URBN’s new townhome project in North Phoenix, The Mason, is done with Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired artful architecture and intricate detailing. With only 33 units available, living in this new boutique, luxury urban living community is a limited and exclusive opportunity.
The Mason fits seamlessly into the vibrant urban surrounding neighborhood setting with its mid-century modern look. According to Kym Billington, AIA Principal of CCBG Architects, Inc., the community is located within close proximity to a neighborhood with 60s and 70s ranch-style houses, that are very popular with a younger generation right now.
“Our residents are interested in crafting their own lifestyle and are decisive about the elements and vibe they’re looking for in a neighborhood; so we locate in places with history, character and energy that satisfies the discriminating urban homebuyer,” says Chris Murdy, director of development services for Liv URBN.
The Mason is located at 1400 E. Bethany Home Rd., near the intersection of 16th Street and Bethany Home Road, and residents will be within walking distance of popular local restaurants, cafes and shops and have close access to urban hiking, biking and running trails.
“What we thought was really interesting about this site is that there are these urban centers springing up around intersections outside of the core of downtown,” says Billington. “You see one right here on 16th Street and Bethany Home within walking distance, and there is a lot of dining, drinking and entertainment.”
The Mason offers both two- and three-bedroom homes ranging in size from 1,756 to 1,940 square feet. The floor plans are designed to infuse homes with abundant natural sunlight and have rooftop terraces for mountain and city views.
There are several different customizable options for each home including desk and terrace space, color palettes, and room choices. The homes also include state-of-the-art materials and technology that provide sound deadening, energy efficiency and structural integrity. Features include high performance low E/Dual Insulated windows, high performance exterior wall and roof insulation, lightweight concrete subfloor system, energy-efficient HVAC split systems and recessed LED lighting throughout.
The model homes for The Mason opened on October 16, and Bianca Olsson of Est Est Interior Design in Scottsdale was behind designing the homes to create a seamless feel to match the exteriors. She says that she designed the models with a calming overall feel, but added bright pops of color and other interesting elements to the mid-century palette of The Mason.
“People like to be pushed out of the box a little bit,” says Olsson. “I think that potential buyers will appreciate some whimsical, fun elements.”
Home prices at The Mason start in the high $400,000’s.
