JMG Contracting, a Phoenix-based, family-owned business, is deeply committed to the community. Our mission is to transform homes and give back to the place we call home. Founded in 2016 by Jon Edwards and Jeremy Baker, two Phoenix natives with a shared passion for construction and a love for Arizona, the company recently completed their fourth project in 2024 and is already in the planning stages for other projects in the future.
Jon and Jeremy have built a company that reflects a love for their hometown and a commitment to creating spaces where families can live and thrive.
With Jon’s extensive experience in construction and a heart firmly attached to family, golf, and cheering on the Phoenix Suns, and Jeremy’s unwavering commitment to excellence in customer relationships, fueled by adventures in camping and off-roading with his daughters, they set out to create a truly homegrown company that values every customer relationship.
“At JMG Contracting, we’re not about renovations; we’re about rooting for the home team, in sports and life, and building a community where every home tells a story as unique as the desert itself,” Jon said.
The contracting group focuses mainly on kitchen and bath remodeling. A recent project in Scottsdale focused on enhancing a tract home kitchen/living area by removing the separating wall in the middle of the room.
“We created an open-concept feel and made the kitchen more inviting with an all-around seating island. Additionally, we expanded the kitchen with semi-custom cabinetry and introduced functional storage, such as the microwave placed in a base cabinet and accessible cabinet storage on the backside of the island,” Jon said.
Another kitchen remodel prioritized luxury living, with designer features such as stacked cabinetry, a custom-colored hood over the range, and a revitalized kitchen island.
“We modernized a once Mediterranean-feeling kitchen and turned this Scottsdale home into a showpiece,” Jeremy said.
A master bath concept, also in Scottsdale, saw the duo updating the bathroom with designer tile in the shower and adding multiple showerheads with zero barrier entry. They replaced the outdated built-in garden tub with a functional and modern freestanding tub and added new vanity cabinetry with maximized storage for all the spa accessories.
The second master bath project was all about creating warmth. The updated room features wood grain tile from floor to ceiling, creating a visually impressive shower. The contractors coordinated the same tile under the freestanding tub to create added warmth, with the full-height glass shower door creating a steam-like shower experience. The dark-tone vanity with a central tower maximizes storage, and designer mirrors complement the black accessory choices.
Jon and Jeremy’s vision is simple yet profound: to transform houses into homes where memories are made, laughter is heard and life is lived to the fullest. Together, as brothers-in-law, they’ve built a company that reflects their love for their hometown, dedication to their families, and passion for creating spaces where others can do the same.
