Est Est’s 2025 Interior Design Trends

In recent years, the interior design industry has embraced minimalism, and 2025 has already proven to continue this trend – but with a twist. Est Est Interior Design’s President Blake Sutton revealed his top picks for this year’s trends. Described as seamlessly marrying natural materials and human-made elements, organic design is the leading inspiration behind revitalizing rooms to create blended, aesthetically pleasing spaces.

While neutral colors remain the primary choice for clients when sharing preferences, green has been considered the popular palette choice for designers. Cementing it as the standout color of the year, various shades continue to serve as the go-to choice, both as an accent and dominant design detail.

Two recent Est Est projects in Paradise Valley and Scottsdale, featuring designs by Natasha Ruvalcaba, Samantha Sadowy, and Cynthia Astorga, among others, incorporate these design trends. The sleek and contemporary spaces feature tall ceilings, stone accents, striking double-sided and single fireplaces, and neutral and moody backdrops.

The custom lighting fixtures throughout these homes add a depth of warmth, and embossed wall coverings incorporate texture. All of these showcase this year’s trending designs.

The Paradise Valley project was originally designed as a modern farmhouse-style home. After meeting with the clients, the designer heard their requests for a more luxurious and contemporary space. The team of expert designers incorporated black accents and rich gold tones to remove the plain white walls and break up the monochromatic tones to add more contrast.

Additional unique details sourced and curated include ornate geometric mirrors and artistic lighting as art pieces, allowing the project to stand alone. One lighting pendant, weighing approximately 300 pounds, drapes across the room and hangs from the 14-foot ceiling. Centered above the primary bedroom, this fixture is the main eye-catching element, hovering over the 10 feet high custom headboard.

Another art piece in the dining room resembles large gold brush strokes across the wall, an accent contrasting against the sleek black wall.

Embracing the organic modern style, every detail of the Scottsdale property from the focal point of each room to the finishes and textures were designed and intended to evoke a feeling of style and function. Combining the client’s wishes, the team married the masculine home build with feminine soft touches to create an exceptional design.

These particular clients wanted to incorporate their impressive collection of colorful Haitian art, which inspired a large majority of the rooms. Playing off of these vibrant pieces, the designers integrated plush furniture, including commissioned bedding from local small businesses and workrooms, to enhance each piece of art.

Custom light fixtures in the living room symbolize droplets of water raining down on the room. A wall of unique shelving stands out in the office, displaying additional art, books, and visual pieces. Incorporating the go-to color, the bathroom features an entire wall of deep green stone, fostering a lush environmental feeling indoors. Learn more about Est Est by visiting estestinc.com.
