Title: Owner & Founder @ HUSTLE House
Married/Single: In between! I have an amazing boyfriend who I met shortly after moving here from NYC. He’s been my biggest supporter, adventure buddy and always keeps me laughing.
Kids: None, yet! But, I have two cute (and needy) French bulldogs who make me feel like a momma.
City you live in: Tempe
A typical day in my life includes… I’m a creature of habit and like routine, so my week days all look and feel similar. I wake up around 6a, get the pups taken care of and then spend the next hour doing mindset work like, gratitude journaling, meditating and affirmations + reading the news and trades. In the early part of the morning, I check off the non-negotiables for HUSTLE House, like uploading new content, responding to client and instructor messages and posting on social, before shifting gears to my day job at ScootRoute. ScootRoute is a start-up and mobile navigation app for micromobility, and I head up their Business Development team. In the late afternoon, I always make sure to get some movement in, usually in the form of a run, spin class or HUSTLE House class. Working out helps me re-set my energy so that I can toggle back over and do a few hours of future-planning for HUSTLE House. Balancing the two roles has been tricky, and I caught myself doing only the non-negotiables for HUSTLE House. The afternoon exercise + mindset work has helped me prioritize my day so I have the energy and time to do both, feel good and grow my business. We cook dinner around 8p and are usually in bed around 9p. Not going to lie, we often wind down with about 20 minutes of mindless scrolling on TikTok (a vice I am totally OK with!).
I was born…in Boston, MA
My favorite thing about Arizona…the sunrises and sunsets. They’re unmatched.
I’m listening to…I’m an audio junkie. I love podcasts (Skimm’d from the Couch, Bossbabe and The School of Greatness are my faves), 2000s hip hop and my new addiction, Clubhouse.
My family…lives close by! Most of us have migrated to AZ from the East Coast, and I especially love having my almost two year old niece, Dahlia, right across the street from me.
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…Dolly Parton. I’m all about female trailblazers, and she’s one of the greats.
One thing I cannot live without…my business coaches (shout out to Brittny and Shenna!) and the Boston accent. I love hearing it…reminds me of home.
When I was younger, I wanted to be…I honestly don’t remember having a deep drive for any one thing. I asked my mom, and she said I was always curious and liked to experience all different things:). It wasn’t until my late 20s that I started to discover what I was good at, what my passions were and what skills I really wanted to lean into.
I’m inspired by…all of the female (and male!) entrepreneurs in Phoenix. In fact, so many of the HUSTLE House instructors are actually full time entrepreneurs and do fitness on the side. I love that they are fearless when it comes to figuring out new things, asking questions and really just putting themselves out there. It’s truly incredible.
The one person who motivates me is…Maybe it’s the Capricorn in me, but I have always been pretty self motivated. I hold myself to a very high standard and am always wanting to do and be more.
If I could change anything in the world, it would be…making access and opportunity more equal.
The perfect day would be…waking up without an alarm and getting a good workout in, preferably on a beach or in a place I’ve never been.
My first job was…selling homemade scrunchies at Kids R Kids, the local toy shop in my hometown! Had no idea that was my first foray into entrepreneurship.
My favorite escape…reality TV and any new travel destination.
My life…is full. I love knowing that I can make it whatever I want it to be, and I am so grateful for everything it’s been and is.
I’m currently working on…building an online masterclass for young women. I mentor rising juniors and seniors in college, and I’m creating a course for them all about taking the guesswork out of landing your first job.
Always…be kind, to yourself and others, and trust your gut.
Never…quit when the finish line is in sight.
Favorite Quote…”life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage” – Anais Nin
Biggest Dream…to be the woman someone wants to have dinner with some day.
My Pet Peeve(s)…automated customer service. I’ve never appreciated speaking to a human more than when you need help!
More About Juliana Blazuk:
Juliana Blazuk is a sales and media executive who recently pivoted into the world of entrepreneurship. Before forming her own virtual fitness business, Juliana spent 15 years in NYC’s media and advertising industry. Most notably, she led retail partnership sales at Snapchat and worked on the Digital Ad Sales team at Nickelodeon. As an early employee of Snap Inc., she was exposed to the hustle of start-up life and is excited to be launching her own business.
Speaking of, Juliana and the team at HUSTLE House launched this 24/7 on-demand virtual platform in November 2020. HUSTLE House was born out of a need for local fitness instructors to have a safe space to record high-quality classes for their students. The platform allows members to curate classes based on their schedules, interests, and favorite instructors, and formats include everything from breathwork to yoga to spin to dance+.
