Age: Depends on my mood
Title: Author, Wannabe Cowgirl, Loves Surf Music, Children’s Literacy and Animal Rescue Advocate
Married/Single: I am single, but in a relationship.
Kids: I chose to have fur-babies instead, 2 dogs and a cat, plus 2 parakeets.
City you live in: Living in Chandler until I find my forever home.
A typical day in my life includes… long early morning walks with my dogs and late nights working on Blueberry Bear; sometimes the late nights and early mornings blend together. Inbetween, I work for Mesa Public Schools, devote time to my dogs, volunteer as a therapy team for Pawsitive Friendships and SW Human Development, and then my boyfriend gets whatever time is left.
I was born… in Chicago, youngest of 5 siblings, and a day late from being Valentine’s baby.
When I was younger, I wanted to be…. a cowgirl! I had no clue what I wanted to be. Hmmm, it took most of my life to figure out my life’s purpose.
If I could change anything in the world, it would be…every child develops into a fluent comprehensive reader.
Sadly, to say, the 2019 National Reading Report Card stats were, two out of three children did not meet the standards for reading proficiency set by the National Assessment of Education. Only 35% of 4th graders and 34% of 8th graders were proficient in reading. (by Erica L. Green and Dana Goldstein, The New York Times, Reading Scores on National Exam Decline in Half the States, updated on December 5, 2019.)
I’m currently working on…as an Indie Author I wear all the hats, from marketing to writing the 2nd book to my Blueberry Bear trilogy. I’m also working on literacy projects for teachers and.marketing my newest product – Blueberry Bear children’s face masks.

I’m listening to… the echoes of my heart repeating, don’t give up on your dream.
My family… is like no other!
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… Dolly Parton. Besides her contagious personality, I admire her passion for children’s literacy.
One thing I cannot live without…are my pup dogs.
When I was younger, I wanted to be…. a cowgirl! I had no clue what I wanted to be. Hmmm, it only took me up to 2 years ago to figure it out.
I’m inspired by… my late therapy dog Jamie, AKA Blueberry Bear. She was my inspiration for writing.
The one person who motivates me is… Blueberry Bear! Well, not exactly. My motivation to keep writing comes from my readers and the students whom I visit. Nothing is more profound than inspiring a student.

The perfect day would be… enjoying some long overdue martini time with my best friend Cheryl who lives in Chicago.
My first job was…a billing typist clerk at Bennett Brothers, Inc., Downtown, Chicago.
My favorite escape…a girl’s week out with my best friend Cheryl.
My life… is a juggling act.
I’m currently working on…writing the 2nd book to my Blueberry Bear trilogy, marketing my newest product – Blueberry Bear children’s face masks, writing the 2nd book to my Blueberry Bear trilogy, marketing my newest product – Blueberry Bear children’s face masks, and working on teacher’s aid and literacy projects. In my spare time, I volunteer for Pawsitive Friendships with my thet2apy dogs.
Always…follow your dreams, instead of wondering what could have been.
Never…make fun of another person.
Favorite Quote… “An individual who challenges him/herself, flourishes to their highest potential.” by Eileen Pieczonka
Biggest Dream… is either a Blueberry Bear animation movie or a TV series. The proceeds would go to building a Blueberry Bear Children’s Literacy Foundation with Therapy Animals.
My Pet Peeve(s)…are wildlife trophy hunters, dog strollers, and people who don’t pick up after their dogs.
