A typical day in my life includes… Right now, it’s family, friends, work…family, friends, work. Just trying to squeeze the most out of this season of life. All my kids are active in sports. I pulled my wife in to help with the start-up phase of our mental health clinic, and I do my best to be present in the day-to-day lives of my friends.

My favorite thing about Arizona… Camping. So many options, with vastly different terrain.
I’m listening to… Nothing specific; I enjoy a good Jordan Peterson podcast but am just as content turning on some country music.
My family… is my rock, my drive, my heart.
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… I want to say someone like Mother Teresa with the hope of catching a view of the world through her eyes, but the clinical psychologist in me goes the opposite direction and thinks of someone like Genghis Khan.
One thing I cannot live without… My Tundra
When I was younger, I wanted to be… living on a beach somewhere
I’m inspired by… People that can maintain a disciplined life and find joy throughout their daily lives.
The one person who motivates me is… my wife, she finds ways to put up with my nonsense and still create a wonderful and happy life for our family
If I could change anything in the world, it would be… calf cramps, if you have gotten a calf cramp then you know what I’m talking about.
The perfect day would be… early morning fishing (mountains or ocean) and some family camping
My first job was… Assistant project manager at Standard Pacific Homes
My favorite escape… anything outdoors – even yard work.
My life… is full of beautiful complexities and challenges with a small group of people that make it all worth it.

My Pet Peeve(s)… cars driving too fast in front of my home, my wife stealing my toothbrush, when I have to change the line for my weed trimmer, when the front door gets left open and the AC is on, and when I can’t find a matching pair of socks.
Bio-on yourself/company: After graduating from Pepperdine University with an undergraduate degree in psychology, I abruptly came face-to-face with the reality that without further education my pricey psychology degree quickly morphed into an overpriced “At-A-Boy” poster. Needless to say, I ended up spending the first decade of my career in business. Honestly speaking… I never thought that I was going to have the opportunity to utilize my academic education, but four kids and 15 years of marriage later I am a proud graduate of Midwestern University with a doctorate degree in clinical psychology. Mental health has been such a huge part of my life story and I am beyond blessed to be able to leverage my life experiences with my academic training and humbly meet others wherever they might be on their own mental health journey.
