A typical day in my life includes…

I typically wake up giving thanks to God for a brand new day, I may read or meditate on being grateful. I also listen to podcasts while getting ready for my day. I really like Rachel Hollis, Ed Mylett, Keeping Shop, and The Grove podcasts to help motivate me to tackle the day ahead. I usually work from home on my laptop. My typical work-day includes planning everything within our market, signing merchants up, answering questions, etc. I try to squeeze in a nap here and there, but that is nearly impossible now that we’re getting closer to our opening date. I try to stop working around 6pm, so I can spend quality time with Eugene and my daughter Krista Paige. It is a challenge at times when I know that there is a lot of work that I still need to do. But I try to remember the verse that says “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Matthew 6:34. There will always be things that need to get done, but family should always be most important. On weekends, I try to not work as much and enjoy my family and friends as much as possible.

I was born…

in January in the city of Los Angeles.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

is everything! I love how nice everyone seems, it is a lot more laid back than LA. There’s hardly as much traffic. Everyone seems willing to help and collaborate which is really nice, especially being a brand new small brick and mortar business.

I’m listening to…

God. He has always been there for me and has never let me down, I have to trust this is truly the path he wants me to take. When I get nervous and think to myself how crazy I am for doing something like this, I remind myself that it was Him who put this in my heart and that he WILL help me see it through.

My family…

is so inspiring and supportive. My husband has trusted me so much with this idea. He is someone I can truly count on to get ideas, insight, motivation, and feedback from. He has always supported me emotionally and financially in so many ways with this business. My mother is someone who also has always supported my entrepreneurial ideas since I was 19. She’s always believed in me and has helped in so many ways, I owe my drive to her! She’s such a hardworking woman who also started her own business. She was an immigrant to the US and came here when she was 25. She has had her own childcare business since she was 40 and makes a six-figure income. Regardless of knowing very little English, she is a true inspiration and an American dream. My sisters have also always supported me and have always been the first to support every business venture I tackled. They’re my number one fans, lol.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

I would have to say Jesus because he has done so much for us and still continues to. I would love to ask him for advice, that would be sooo cool!

One thing I cannot live without…

are massages. They’re my favorite!

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a business owner. I didn’t know what, but that’s what I’ve always wanted.

I’m inspired by…

podcasts.

The one person who motivates me is…

God.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

to end child suffering, in all forms.

The perfect day would be…

enjoying my family and feeling nothing but PEACE in my heart.

My first job was…

at an auto store. I learned a lot, lol.

My favorite escape

is going to get a massage for 90 minutes!

My life…

is blessed.

I’m currently working on…

The Merchantile of Scottsdale, day and night.

Always…

be grateful and serve others.

Never…

stop learning and taking risks.

Favorite Quote

at this time, it’s… “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened” Matthew 7:7-8

Biggest Dream…

at this moment, it’s to make The Merchantile of Scottsdale a dream come true to small businesses.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

people that go into another lane while driving because they’re TEXTING!
