A typical day in my life includes… A typical day in my life always starts withwaking up and meditating. I like to set mindset and intentions for the day. Then I head into work at MEB Management Services where I oversee hundreds of employees and more than 30,000 multifamily units in Arizona, New Mexico, Tennessee and Texas. After a full day in the office, I head back home and relax before I do it again the next day!
I was born… in Phoenix
My favorite thing about Arizona… The beauty and diversity of the climate. We have warmth, desert landscape, mountains, pine trees, snow, rivers, lakes, and cacti. We are lucky to have it all!
I’m listening to… My favorite sounds to listen to are nature soundscapes and forest sounds
My family… is wonderful!I am a sandwich generation. In addition to my husband, I have 2 adult kids ages 25 and 21 who are in PA school and attending ASU respectively. I also have both of my parents ages 91 and 92 who live with us and our dog.
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… Condolesa Rice. I believe she has a brilliant mind and I would love to talk with her and learn more about some of the experiences she has had across the globe.

My life… Is so full and happy
I’m currently working on… My new position as president of the Institute of Real Estate Management’s Global Initiatives. I am excited to work with the board of directors, volunteers, advisory councils, and task forces as part of my new position. I will also be overseeing the yearly budget, acting as a mentor to junior members, and cultivating strong relationships between the board, its members and the community.

Bio-on yourself/company: Libby Ekre, MEB Management Services founding principal and International Real Estate Management (IREM) president, is well known for her expertise in property operations and talent management. She has experience in multi-family, extended stay hotel management, and property renovation. She also has received numerous awards for her skill, knowledge, and success in multi-family management. Libby oversees MEB’s quality assurance, training, and talent management. Libby’s early career included experience with two national property management firms. She has served in a variety of leadership positions in the industry, including President for IREM and board member of the Turnaround Management Association. Libby is also a leader who gives back by providing stewardship for an international children’s outreach program.
