A typical day in my life includes… balancing raising two small children and overseeing the marketing for my family’s business Babbo Italian Eatery. We are definitely in the season of life where we are on the go all the time.
I was born… Phoenix, AZ. I’m a desert native.
My favorite thing about Arizona… there’s so much to do! I think the desert is absolutely beautiful, not to mention we have some amazing restaurants.
I’m listening to… I’ve been really into podcasts and audiobooks lately. I love that I can listen while I’m on the go and chasing my kids around. I especially enjoy topics on business, family, wellness, faith and always love a good fiction novel!
My family… is the most important thing to me. I feel beyond blessed to have them. It’s the best thing being related to your best friends.
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… C.S. Lewis. His books continue to influence readers across generations.
One thing I cannot live without… probably my Google calendar. Makes life so much less stressful when you have your days planned and organized.
When I was younger, I wanted to be… a teacher. I actually accomplished this dream and taught third grade for three years.
I’m inspired by… my Mom, she is absolutely one of the hardest working people I know but can always find time for others.
The one person who motivates me is… my husband is the best motivator. He has always been my biggest cheerleader.
If I could change anything in the world, it would be… eliminate disease.
The perfect day would be… spent with my family. My heart is happiest when I am with them.
My first job was… as a hostess at Babbo. I was 16 and loved the energy of working in the restaurant.
My favorite escape… I love to escape to Coronado, California with my family. It’s our happy place.
My life… is busy, a little chaotic, but beautiful.
I’m currently working on… A Day of Giving for Pancreatic Cancer Research. All of the profits from our eight Babbo locations will be donated to the Seena Magowitz foundation for Pancreatic Research on June 15th. This cause is near to our hearts because my Dad Ken Pollack, the founder and owner of Babbo, who was a huge baseball fan, recently passed away from this disease. We are working hard to raise awareness and funds to better support pancreatic cancer research. In addition to donating the profits from this day, we will also be raffling some really special Baseball Memorabilia.
Always… take time to slow down and spend time with the ones you love.
Never… take life for granted.
Favorite Quote… “If you give you will get, if you get you should give”. – Ken Pollack
Biggest Dream… even at a young age I’ve considered myself to be creative. Managing the marketing for Babbo has given me an outlet for my creativity. I would say I get to live my dream everyday by having a career that I thoroughly enjoy.
My Pet Peeve(s)… when you are talking to someone and they are scrolling on their phone. So rude.
