A typical day in my life includes…
tons of smiles, squats, hip thrusts, high fives and lots of hard work at the gym. I start training at 5 or 6 a.m. and most days don’t leave until around 9 p.m. It’s a grind but I wouldn’t change it for the world!
When I’m not training, a typical day includes getting up early (I hate sleeping in), getting a workout in, grabbing food with friends, attempting to de-clutter my house, running errands I’ve been putting off, and a little bit of self care (nail salon, shopping, grabbing a vegan buzz from D’Lite, etc). I don’t ever like to slow down, but I know it’s important to take time for me when I’m not at the gym.
I was born…
in Ottawa, Kansas. It’s a town of 12,000 people. But most people would never guess I’m from Kansas.
My favorite thing about Arizona…
the beautiful weather and scenery. I still can’t believe I live somewhere with mountains. And the fact there is ALWAYS something going on – music concerts, food festivals, hikes, wine tastings, and sports games. There’s always something to do – you can never be bored!
I’m listening to…
“Festival Bangers” on Apple Music. I’m prepping to go to Ultra Miami end of March.
My family…
is super tight knit. We’ve been through a lot together, but I’ve always been blessed with an amazing support system. I’m very grateful and work hard to make them proud.
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…
my father. He passed away four years ago, so I’d love to have dinner with him to chat about where I am now, hear a few of his jokes and get a little silly life advice.
One thing I cannot live without…
my day planner, a pen for scribbling notes and Google Calendar. I am soooo forgetful – I NEED to write everything down.
When I was younger, I wanted to be…
an actress – I am a patron of the arts!
I’m inspired by…
people who aren’t afraid to be themselves. It’s motivating, inspiring and refreshing.
The one person who motivates me is…
not just one person. My clients: They ALWAYS motivate me when I see them driven, working hard and committed to pushing past their comfort zones. Ryan Read: he motivates me with his passion and zest for life. My high school track coach, Coach Kornhaus: the first person who pushed me to not settle and to be known for my hustle and work ethic, instead of anything external. Myself: I’m constantly motivated to be better than who I was yesterday.
The perfect day would be…
first breakfast and some good tea or coffee, followed by a day on the beach, playing sand volleyball, and grilling burgers and hot dogs. At night, going to an event like an outdoor concert or baseball game. Then going to bed early because I never get enough sleep!
My first job was…
a waitress at a BBQ restaurant in my hometown. I was horrible at first.
My favorite escape…
honestly? Driving around on a Friday afternoon with the windows down, music blaring and the Arizona sun on me. Or watching ‘90s TV reruns on Netflix and eating carne asada fries.
My life…
has been unpredictable. A year ago, I’d never have imagined that I’d be where I am, doing what I am doing now. I have to constantly remind myself not to stress so much about things because anything can change for the better at the drop of a hat. Anything can happen, the future is so unpredictable and it’s exciting!
I’m currently working on…
forcing myself to slow down and rest. Sleep is important.
Always…
be thankful for what you have. I guarantee there’s someone who has it worse than you. It’s great to be grateful!
Never…
it never hurts to ask. The worst they can say is ‘no.’
Favorite Quote…
“Let go and let God.”
Biggest Dream…
I’m living it!
My Pet Peeve(s)…
when people don’t say ‘please’ and ‘thank you.’
