Through Haute Higgins, Tiffany helps midlife women navigate significant life transitions – changing body shapes, divorce, starting a new career, becoming empty nesters – with style. From personal experience, these midlife changes can be overwhelming, and sometimes, style can get lost in the shuffle. Tiffany’s mission is to help midlife women stop feeling overwhelmed by their changing style needs.
“I want to empower women to embrace who they are and who they’re becoming through what they wear and start effortlessly feeling put together and stylish so they feel radiant and comfortable in their skin, no matter what life throws at them,” Tiffany said.
AZF: What is your “life motto?”
TH: It’s always better to show up overdressed than underdressed. Once, I was asked not to dress so “nice” to go out because they didn’t want me to stand out. I replied, “that’s not going to happen. I don’t own anything that’s not nice.” There’s no worse feeling than showing up underdressed and feeling uncomfortable. Plus, when you show up dressed, you feel great, and it shows.
AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be an entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path right for you?
TH: I’ve known since my 20s that I wanted to be an entrepreneur. I think it’s in my blood. Entrepreneurship is in my family’s DNA. I was always reading books, trying to find a business I could succeed at. At one point in my 20s, I had a side gig selling gift baskets on the weekends while working full time. I finally found the right business. I’ve had an event planning business for 18 years. I started my styling business over three years ago.
AZF: How do you feel best supported?
TH: I feel most supported through continuous learning and creative collaboration. This includes staying current on fashion trends, professional development to refine my styling skills, and connecting with creative individuals to exchange ideas and inspire each other. I love a good brainstorming session!
AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?
TH: I love seeing my clients light up when they look in the mirror, and they love their transformation. Seeing someone smiling at themselves in the mirror is the best feeling. You can see them starting to feel better about how they look, not only on the outside but also on the inside. I swear it’s like they’re glowing!
AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday morning.
TH: My perfect Saturday morning would be hitting estate sales looking for vintage clothing and jewelry.
AZF: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?
TH: First, always be learning. Second, don’t give up when success isn’t immediate, you face setbacks or fail at something. Know these things will happen. The key is to keep moving forward! Third, always remember to be patient and kind to yourself.
AZF: What excites you most about being an entrepreneur?
TH: I can be flexible with my time and work wherever I may be!
