Foundress Fridays: Lauren Theobald, Owner of Face Foundrié

Meet Lauren Theobald, owner of Face Foundrié a facial bar offering facials, lashes, brows and skincare at locations in Phoenix and Peoria.

“FACE FOUNDRIÉ was founded on the idea that a modern skincare regimen should be accessible, attainable and effective without missing the feeling of being pampered. The focused facial bar specializes in all things face, offering results-driven services that include focused facials, mini facials and waxing. A testament that skincare should be accessible for everyone’s busy schedules and needs, FACE FOUNDRIÉ offers same day appointments, accessible hours with reasonable appointment times, and competitive pricing, removing all barriers from achieving your healthiest, hydrated skin. FACE FOUNDRIÉ’S two Arizona bars are in Phoenix at North 40th Street and East Indian School Road and in Peoria in the Park West Shopping Center.”

AZF: What is your “life motto?”
LT: If it can be changed, why worry? If it can’t be changed, why worry?

AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path right for you?
LT: Yes! I am a third generation female entrepreneur, and always knew I wanted to do something on my own – it just took me some time to figure out what + how! I didn’t become an entrepreneur until I was 36, and I gained incredible knowledge and experience in the corporate world. When the timing was right, everything fell into place.

AZF: How do you feel best supported?
LT: I feel best supported when I take the time to take care of me. I do this by taking walks, doing yoga, getting monthly facials, practicing deep breathing, keeping an achievable goal + task list, and having open + honest communication with friends, family, and my team.

AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?
LT: I gain motivation from so many: my team, my family, and my potential future. I think the biggest part of continuing to build momentum is being disciplined. I might not always feel motivated, but discipline will carry me through the days to achieve what I need to.

AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday morning.
LT: Get up early and get outside! Enjoy sunshine + coffee + walk. Make a delicious homemade breakfast with my kids and husband. Order up a surprise lunch for both store teams, and hitting up a local farmer’s market.

AZF: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?
LT: Stay humble and kind. You will learn so much from other’s along the way, and any opportunity that doesn’t turn out is a moment to learn. Kindness and connection will take you far when building connections and spreading the word about what you do! Entrepreneurship can be very lonely, finding a collaborative group to learn from, support you, and challenge you is so important for self development!

AZF: What excites you most about being an entrepreneur?
LT: The possibilities! There is never a quiet + slow moment being an entrepreneur. I love that each day is different, there are always new challenges, and I am always meeting incredible people along the way. Being a part of the small business community is so rewarding, and opportunities come out of nowhere sometimes. I love keeping an open mind and being creative with collaborations and supporting other small business owners!
