AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path right for you?
TA: I have always known since I was little! I remember being 5 years old in Rocky Point with my family, and begging my dad to buy me a huge container of gum so I could go sell it to the tourist and I could make money!
AZF: What excites you most about being an entrepreneur?
TA: I have been an Entrepreneur my entire career, and what excites me most is bring my big ideas and dreams to life! I LOVE the start up phase of a company.
AZF: How do you feel best supported?
TA: When people take time out of there busy schedules to tell me how they feel about the brand. I have received countless IG DMs, handwritten letters, phone calls, and more from people telling me how the brand makes them feel. It is truly the most rewarding part of the business
AZF: What is your “life motto”?
TA: “the worst thing they can say is ‘no'”
AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday morning.
TA: Sleeping in, grabbing a tea from my favorite neighborhood spot, going to brunch with my husband, and antiquing!
AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst of the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?
TA: There are really high highs, and really low lows. But when I am feeling unmotivated, I have to get back into my creative mindset. I lock myself in my production room and just play. I design new pieces, draw, and come up with campaign concepts that re-spark my excitement!
AZF: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?
TA: Just start. If you have an idea, it is so easy now to create a brand and build a website. I always say, done is better than perfect. I am a big believer in launching fast and fix as you go! You don’t a fancy branding and a perfectly polished website to get started.
