What made you want to be a part of the Face of Foothills 2021 competition?
Originally, I thought entering the Face of Foothills competition would be something fun to do, as I had never entered any competition like it prior. Once I received notification that my submission was accepted, I was pretty excited. I decided at that moment I needed to put everything I had into the opportunity!
What did you learn about yourself throughout the competition and voting process?
I learned that I really hate captchas! No, honestly, being that this competition ran through the COVID pandemic and the uncertainty that brought about, I really learned how to rely on my family and friends, to be true to myself, and to patiently trust the entire process.
What do you intend to do with your new title?
Since chosen to represent FOF, I hope to do my best to help the magazine shine through any involvement I may have. I see being part of the magazine as an opportunity to lead young girls and women by example and showcase the possibilities of what a woman can do and just how much fun it can be along the way!
A typical day in my life includes… tending to my garden, working at a local sandwich shop, loving on my (many) pets, working out, and spending quality time with those I love.
My favorite thing about Arizona… is the different seasons and landscapes. I can enjoy mountains, lakes, farmland, the desert, small towns, or the big city life all within a few hour’s drive. No matter what season, there is always a part of Arizona to enjoy year-round!
My favorite thing about AZFoothills is… the content of the magazine. AzFoothills Magazine showcases the trendiest new places, people, vacation spots, real estate, events, fashion, and businesses!
I’m listening to… country music!
In my free time, I love to… hike, garden, workout, fish, do special effects makeup, and, depending on the season, you’ll find me on a board wake surfing, or snowboarding!
My family… is big. I am the middle child of five. I’m also blessed to have all sets of grandparents living locally, plus most cousins, aunts, and uncles within our state!
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… Chris Hemsworth.
One thing I cannot live without… a cozy pair of sweatpants and Root beer.
I’m inspired by… all things nature; plants, animals, people, and the uniqueness of all of them!
The one person who motivates me is… my Grandpa Mike.
If I could change anything in the world, it would be… to spread kindness like confetti!
The perfect day would be… sleeping in, ice cream for breakfast, Netflix, maybe a hike, some fishing, some sunshine, Japanese food for dinner, a bubble bath, and chocolate.
My first job was… as a hostess at a local restaurant in my hometown of Sedona.
My favorite escape… is being outdoors.
I’m currently working on… skincare (I’m an aesthetician), trends in special effects makeup, my garden, and homemade soaps for my soap company.
Always… wear a smile and aim to see the good in people.
Never… stop learning, because life doesn’t stop teaching.
Favorite Quote… “Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself” – Coco Chanel
Biggest Dream… is to go into fitness modeling and/or cultivate my passion for special effects makeup by becoming a professional in the industry. I would also love to live on a huge chunk of land with a bunch of rescued animals!
