Married/Single: Michael Daly and I have been life partners for over 35 years.
Kids: Forgot to have them! Although we have lots of nieces and nephews to keep us immersed in innocence!
City you live in: Phoenix, North Central
A typical day in my life includes… Waking up before dawn, taking a mile walk with my sweet 12-year-old rescue pup, Gabby, then I’m off to the gym for a CrossFit workout. I’m ready by 8:00 am to be inspired for the rest of the day by my creative and resourceful clients.
I was born…in Globe, Arizona. Third generation, Arizonan.
My favorite thing about Arizona…all its diversity-landscape and cultures.
I’m listening to… music that brings joyous movement to my body.
My family…. is the definition of unconditional love.
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… historic women who transcended gender roles to take a lead in making positive changes in their world.
One thing I cannot live without…being only two steps away from hiking among nature.
When I was younger, I wanted to be…a professional modern dancer! (still do!)
I’m inspired by…. the resiliency humans have when faced with adversity.
The one person who motivates me is… right now it is my client from the Ukraine. A young professional struggling with being a great leader while deeply immersed in a war ravaging her country and people.
If I could change anything in the world, it would be….. that we all live fearlessly.
The perfect day would be… being present in every moment.
My first job was… wrapping customers’ gifts in my aunt’s clothing store. That’s where I gained my appreciation for fashion!
My favorite escape… is anywhere among nature.
My life… is magical as I live the change I want to see in the world.

Bio-on yourself/company: Dennece McKelvy, MBA, PCC, ACTC, founder and principal of Intuitive Directions LLC, has more than 25 years of leadership experience including general, operations and program management. She is one of only 136 worldwide who have received the International Coaching Federation Advanced Certification – Team Coach (ACTC) credential, differentiating her from the more than 30,000 certified coaches worldwide.
As a professional certified coach (PCC) with engineering bachelor’s and executive MBA (EMBA) degrees, she brings unique perspective to her work and has successfully led people and organizations through start-up, turnaround and growth modes.
McKelvy has been coaching teams within multinational organizations for over 10 years using a proprietary team coaching process, Team Advantage, developed by the Pyramid Resource Group. This has uniquely positioned her to coach well-known companies such as PetSmart and Banner Health.
Additionally, she coaches nationally and internationally as an adjunct team member of several large coaching firms, including The Pyramid Resource Group, Inc. By engaging with business leaders and their teams through illuminating conversations, McKelvy assists clients in developing fresh, inclusive solutions in the VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) environment businesses are facing today.
McKelvy earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from University of Arizona and her EMBA from Arizona State University. She received her professional coaching training from Adler International Coaching School and served as the VP of community outreach for the International Coach Federation Az (ICF).
