Name: Patti Luttrell
Age: 57
Title: Executive Director, Children’s Cancer Network
Married/Single: Married
Kids: Two wonderful kids
City you live in: Tempe
I was born…
in Chicago, Illinois. I love this city but only in the summer.
My favorite thing about Arizona…
is the warm weather and sunny skies! No snow for me.
I’m listening to…
Country: Randy Houser, Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks . . .anything country is great.
My family…
is my world.
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…
my grandfather. He passed away when I was a high school senior. I would share how much he has meant to me throughout my life.
One thing I cannot live without…
sleep…although sometimes I try.
When I was younger, I wanted to be…
a ballerina or a singer. When I didn’t show any talent in either, I was happy with my choice of nursing.
I’m inspired by…
my son, Jeff, who is a seven time cancer survivor; my daughter, Jenny, who is a survivor in her own right as a sibling of a cancer patient, and my husband, Steve, who is the rock behind us all.
The one person who motivates me is…
any child battling childhood cancer.
If I could change anything in the world, it would be…
for the world to be cancer free.
The perfect day would include…
an early morning bike ride, crepes for breakfast, and sharing the day with friends and family.
My first job was…
a lifeguard.
My favorite escape…
movies…but I am a sucker for happy endings.
My life…
is a roller coaster but I am thankful for each day.
I’m currently working on…
becoming more of an advocate for children and families battling cancer.
Always…
make the most of every day.
Never…
go to bed angry.
Favorite Quote…
“Dreams are the beginning of miracles.”
Biggest Dream…
to see my children grow up happy and healthy with happy and healthy families of their own.
My Pet Peeve(s)…
poor customer service.
