A typical day in my life includes… Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool, shooting some b-ball outside of the school.
I was born… Good Samaritan in Phoenix, I can see the hospital from my backyard. I haven’t made it far in life.
My favorite thing about Arizona… There is no ‘Old Boys network,’ anyone with passion and good ideas is welcomed and can succeed.
I’m listening to… same stuff I always have: ska music & comedy specials
My family… is very tiring. Why don’t these children sleep?
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… Anyone who will eat something besides macaroni and cheese
One thing I cannot live without… the diverse landscapes of the American west
When I was younger, I wanted to be… Kevin Johnson on the Phoenix Suns.
I’m inspired by… people with a lot of technical knowledge and attention to detail. I’m the opposite, so people who are that way always amaze me.
The one person who motivates me is… Either of my kids. But you asked for one, so…flip a coin
If I could change anything in the world, it would be… the temperature in Phoenix from May 15th to September 15th
The perfect day would be… I have 2 small kids, I just want to sleep all day and maybe play Nintendo. I’m very tired.
My first job was… in a telemarketing call center selling long distance telephone service.
My favorite escape… 1963’s The Great Escape, starring Steve McQueen
My life… is a lucky one. I seem to stumble into good fortune for no real reason and try to bring a bit of merriment with me along the way.
I’m currently working on… Trying to toilet train a toddler.
Always… thinking about the parade route for the Suns eventual NBA championship.
Never… won the lottery. I should do that. Seems fun.

Biggest Dream… I’d like to be a game show host. I think I’d excel at giving away affordable compact cars to grandmas from the Midwest.

Bio-on yourself/company: Will Novak is the Government and Community Affairs Manager for Google Fiber. He is an ASU alum with a degree in Public Service & Public Policy. Novak has experience working in municipal government and economic development. He was a staffer for then Councilmember Kate Gallego (now Mayor) and then Mayor (now Congressman) Greg Stanton. He worked at the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, and in the Economic Development department at the City of Mesa. He is a member of the Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED) and serves on their government affairs committee. He is also a member of the AZ Tech Council and a member of the AZ Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a member of the Mesa Chamber of Commerce. In his role at Google Fiber he focuses on two main areas: government and community affairs. The government affairs portion means Novak works closely with their expansion team leading efforts to work with new municipalities. The community affairs portion of his job focuses on ensuring Google Fiber is a leader in supporting efforts around digital inclusion, STEM education and social issues. Will has been married to his wife, Veronica, since 2015 and they have two children, Olivia (5) and Walter (3).
