The Phoenician’s Thirsty Camel Named One of the World’s Best Hotel Bars

The Thirsty Camel at The Phoenician is no ordinary hotel bar. In fact, it’s one of the best you’ll find in the world. Forbes Travel Guide even named it one of The World’s Best Hotel Bars 2019, a list encompassing just 44 of the finest from all over the world.

It helps that the bar offers up some of the best views of the Valley from its outdoor terrace. Forbes Travel Guide even warned visitors to not miss “the striking Sonoran sunset from the terrace.” Cozy fire features and views of silhouetted palms among the fiery night sky pair perfectly with the bar’s drink selection. Choose from a great lineup of bourbons, whiskies, premium spirits, handcrafted cocktails, wine and beer.

Order up the Triple S, the signature sipper made with El Tesoro Blanco Tequila, agave nectar, jalapeño, watermelon, lime and rimmed with a hickory smoked-salt. Or try the Thristy Camel, made with The Phoenician’s own Herradura Reposado Tequila, cucumber, jalapeño, mint, lemon juice, prickly pear syrup and egg white.

The food menu is just as enticing with regional-inspired bites like Desert Scented Hamachi, Confit Chicken Empanadas, Pressed Pork Torta and even cinnamon churros for a sweet finish.

What’s more, the Thirsty Camel hosts live entertainment Monday through Saturday evenings from local acts and artists. Enjoy a variety of music from singers and songwriters from across the Valley. View the November lineup here.

The Thirsty Camel’s bar is open daily at 2 p.m., with food service available 4 to 11 p.m.
