Sedona has always been known as being a spiritual destination and this month, guests at L’Auberge de Sedona can partake in a unique experience. Tibetan monks will be making a rare visit to the resort April 21-26, including a sacred ceremony, dining experience and more.
During their visit the Tibetan Monks will be creating a beautiful, traditional Maitreya Sand Mandala (the Buddha of Love) at Unity of Sedona, including a blessing of L’Auberge de Sedona to celebrate its 35th anniversary. Visitors are welcome to watch the spectacular Sand Mandala come to life and immerse themselves in Tibetan art, culture and meditation. An opening ceremony will take place Sunday, April 21 at 2 p.m., with guests also able to view the Sand Mandala creation process from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m daily in the Unity Sanctuary.
On Friday, April 26 at 1:30 p.m. the resort will offer a creekside family-style lunch with eats from Etch Kitchen & Bar and Cress on Oak Creek. The lunch is $75 per person, with a portion given as a donation to the monks’ monastery.
