Just in time for a snowy season of skiing, Vail Marriott Mountain Resort has launched a $25 million reimagination to its guest rooms and meeting spaces. Guests will enjoy new modern amenities with high-tech attributes along with an indoor-outdoor design that embraces the year-round destination.
Creating a totally chic mountain escape, award-winning Simeone Deary Design Group is in charge of the new look that brings to mind Swiss Chalets and small European towns. Some of the new design elements include contemporary rustic architecture accented with modern mid-century pieces. The 350 guest rooms will debut a utilitarian craftsmanship look with natural tones, authentic materials and luxurious metallic elements. The design is a nod to a nearby town’s early years as a military backcountry training ground for the 10th Mountain Division. Keeping in line with its chic mountain look, guest room bathrooms will also blend different elements like gray rift-cut oak vanities, green marble countertops, matte black metal accents, porcelain tile floors and walls and polished chrome hardware.
The new rooms were first introduced this summer and will be finalized September 2018. The entire first phase of the renovation will debut with the launch of the reimagined Grand Ballroom, Grand Foyer and Colorado Ballroom totaling 25,000 square feet of meeting space. This will include a new outdoor veranda featuring a bar, fire features and private settees for après everything.
To celebrate the resort’s transformation, the resort is offering up a special package.
