Channel Your Inner Yogi at Kukui`ula’s New Yoga Series

Is there a better combo than yoga and Hawaii? Not really. And this year you can experience both with Kukui`ula‘s The Living Well Yoga Guru Series. Welcoming premier teachers from across the country, guests can hop into Warrior pose amid breezy palm trees and the mild temperatures of Kauai’s South Shore.

The monthly series consists of one four-day program with different themes and teachers for each series. There will be two yoga practices in the morning and at sunset plus daily meditation, topical discussions, and activities regarding mindfulness, self-development coaching, qi gong and sound therapy. The yoga classes will take part at various locations around the property so guests will get a different view each time.

“We are always aspiring to evolve our programming to meet and exceed guest and member expectations,” says General Manager at the Club at Kukui’ula, Nicholas Gold. “‘The Living Well Yoga Guru Series’ embodies the culture and ethos of Kukui’ula. We take pride in our various wellness offerings at Kukui’ula, from land to sea activities to The Upcountry Farm, encouraging guests and members to embrace our Hawaiian culture and cultivate a sense of “malama” (which is Hawaiian for ‘inner peace and landscaping’).”

The Living Well Yoga Guru Series schedule is below

  • July 18-21: Andrew Sealy’s connection with nature and its healing properties stem from his childhood exploring the beaches of Barbados. Currently LA-based, Andrew has combined his curiosity of body mechanics and human potential with self-healing through his practice of yoga.
  • October 10-13: Chelsey Korus has quickly become one of yoga’s foremost teachers and philosophers with experience in various forms of movement. From dance to theatre and vocal performance, Chelsey’s practice helps people ‘awaken to their moment.’
  • October 24-27: Ryan Leier’s distinction comes from expression of ancient traditions that touches his students’ hearts. His dedication to connecting with his community has led to his role as a global lululemon athletica ambassador.
  • November 21-24: Gina Caputo currently resides in Boulder, CO and practices a teaching called Integrated Vinyasa, where she emphasizes the fusion of alignment and flow, anatomy and energetics and work and play.

The program is exclusively available to members of Kukui’ula and Lodge guests at no additional cost. All aspects of each four-day experience are optional. Members and guests may attend any or all of the Series’ experiences.
