Though we’ve said goodbye to summer, we are never ready to say goodbye to days at the beach.
And thankfully, the Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) Convention & Visitors Bureau is all about keeping those beach days alive, and easily accessible to us here in the Valley.
Arizona’s Beach
Rocky Point is the biggest certified clean beach in Mexico.
Not only do we love the cleanliness and the name of this beach in Puerto Penasco, we also love all that it offers.
Camping on the beach, biking the nearby trails, and some incredible sights await you. One of the nearby craters, El Pinacate was once a training site for Apollo 14 astronauts, and is now open for the public to visit. Other craters worth checking out in the area are El Elegante, El Tecolote, and Cerro Colorado.
Aside from just a lovely day at the beach, Puerto Penasco provides camping areas where beach goers can turn their beach day into an overnight excursion.
If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, you can also camp in the biosphere reserve that surrounds El Tecolote and el Cono Rojo craters.
