The Sedona, Ariz. acclaimed spa and destination getaway Mii amo is now open after a $40 million renovation and expansion.
The spa resort closed in early 2021 to undergo the extensive renovations and expansion, which includes an enhanced spa experience, a new light-filled movement and fitness wing, Hummingbird restaurant and the addition of new treatment rooms, suites and guest rooms.
Mii amo now offers three new casita buildings and 16 newly renovated original casita guest rooms that feature updated amenities such as fireplaces, private outdoor spaces, heated bathroom floors, soaking tubs and views of Boynton Canyon.
New spaces dedicated exclusively to Journey spa guests include a private Relaxation Lounge and the Journey Plunge Pool and Journey Lounge, which are designed to enhance the sense of privacy, foster community and provide guests with a place to unwind, study and network.
As part of a commitment to “slow wellbeing,” Mii amo dedicated the past two years to the Mii amo spa experience, which has been named Travel + Leisure World’s Best Spa four times. Spa facilities now encompass 21 treatment rooms, including: 14 single massage rooms, three facial rooms, two rooms with dry float tables, one sound lounge room and one couple’s massage room, plus new steam rooms and saunas. Guests will also enjoy a refreshed spa menu and longer spa sessions which now range from 75 to 125 minutes.
Continuing its commitment to guest’s health and wellness, Mii amo built larger, 3,300-square-foot fitness and movement studios that offer views of the Sensory Garden and provide more space for the updated fitness classes that will be instructed by newly-hired fitness leaders.
The new signature restaurant, Hummingbird at Mii amo, will showcase an eclectic culinary program that sources seasonal produce from its own chef’s garden as well as from nearby farms, ranches and orchards. Airy during the day and candle-lit at night, the restaurant will provide guests with a healthy, tranquil dining experience.
Lastly, the reimagined Mii amo Boutique will feature both men’s and women’s apparel and athleisure, gifts, home goods and skin care, while the Crystal Grotto has been refreshed with new furnishings and details to enhance its environment for meditation and reflection.
Mii amo is now taking reservations for three, four, seven or 10-night all-inclusive getaways. For more information or to book your stay, visit miiamo.com.
