If you’re like most people, one of your New Year’s resolutions was to turn your health around, and get that beach bod ready for the summer.
Now that the time has come to start acting on your resolution, you may find yourself struggling to get a routine going, especially when it comes to waking up when it’s still dark outside and heading to the gym before work.
Thankfully, we’ve found some fab health and wellness events happening at two of our favorite Valley resorts that will help keep you on track with your New Year’s resolution, and your happier, healthier self.
Mountain Shadows
Free Flow Nights
The popularity of these yoga classes are so great, that they are back for 2018. Head on over to Mountain Shadows every Thursday night at 6 p.m. for a completely FREE yoga class on the resort’s lawn.
Post-wine, head over the The Living Room to indulge in some healthy bites and $5 wines.
Barre Class
Mountain Shadows has partnered up with barre all-star The Bar Method to create a few new class that will be happening January 20. This class will mix barre fitness and mat work to give you the ultimate workout.
And, you’ll really get in tune with your exercise thanks to DJ Perry’s live set.
You can feel even better about your workout knowing that proceeds from the class will go to Junior League of Phoenix.
A $20 donation is recommended for this class, and RSVP is required.
Photography Essentials
If your resolution was to try new things in 2018, then you’re in luck. Mountain Shadows’ Photography Essentials classes, will teach aspiring photographers how to shoot and edit the perfect shots.
Classes are led by master photographer and blogger, Joanie Simon, and will teach the essentials so that no matter what equipment you have (hello iPhone photographers!), you’ll be able to master a shot.
Post-class, enjoy cocktails and appetizers at The Living Room to talk more photos.
Classes take place:
January 13 | 2 -5 p.m.
February 10 | 2 -5 p.m.
March 10 | 2 – 5 p.m.
This class is priced at $50/person.
