This Labor Day weekend, Fairmont Scottsdale Princess will transform into a tropical getaway for its 8th Annual Labor Day Dreamcation. From Aug. 31 to Sep. 3, guests can get their “aloha” on at the Scottsdale resort with tastes of the islands and Polynesian entertainment under swaying palms. Tropical Days
From arrival, guests will be immersed in the Hawaiian culture with tropical photo opps, welcome leis, games and more. During the weekend kids can dive into an assortment of activities throughout the resort including Hawaiian craft making, swimming with Moon Mermaid at Mermaid University, fishing derbies with Ranger Rick, watermelon eating contests, foam parties at the pool and limbo. Adults can get in on the tropical fun too with Hawaiian happy hour cocktails, Kahlua pork sliders, fish tacos and the sounds of the ukele at the two adults-only pools. Plus, Toro Latin Restaurant Rum & Bar will be offering up more than 150 rums and Well & Being Spa will offer coconut pedicures.
Island Nights
When the sun goes down, enjoy fire-knife and drum performers amidst glowing tiki torches at the Princess Plaza Stage. Sunset Beach will show family-friendly movies like “Moana” or “Lilo & Stitch,” while the Sonoran Splash Pool will host the H2/Glow Party. Enjoy water slides with black lights, lasers and fog while LED hula hoopers dance to hits played by DJ Splash. End the weekend with a bang as summer fireworks light up the sky each night at 9 p.m. (Friday-Sunday).
Vow Renewals
Thinking of renewing your ‘I do’’s? Now’s the perfect chance. During the Labor Day Dreamcation weekend, love birds may renew their wedding vows with the resort’s very own ship captain, Thomas Williams, Director of Guest Services, who is an ordained minister. Couples will be toasted with Champagne and then escape in a decorated golf cart to cruise around the resort.
