The West Valley resort is currently celebrating its 90th anniversary with special deals throughout November and a lineup of fun activities during the week leading up to Thanksgiving. Plus, the historic resort was just named the No. 17 Resort in Southwest & Texas in Condé Nast Traveler‘s Readers’ Choice Awards.
Fun
Fun abounds during the week leading up to Thanksgiving including an outdoor movie on the big screen on Nov. 22. On Nov. 23, join a Jazz Age-themed bash with live Jazz music and era-appropriate cocktails in the Arizona Room. Dance the afternoon away with the Arizona Swing Kings on Nov. 24 on the Front Lawn before cozying up on Nov. 25 for family game night, featuring throwback games and vintage favorites.
Drink
Throughout the month of November, The Wigwam Bar will feature specialty drinks inspired by the fave cocktails of notable drinkers from the 1920s. Drinks include the F. Scott Fitzgerald (gin, lime, tonic), Babe Ruth (Wigwam ale, shot of house bourbon), Duke Ellington (cognac, Cointreau, lime, sugar rim) The Great Gatsby (gin, honey simple syrup, fresh orange and lemon) and more. Other sip-worthy events include A Taste of the 1920’s on Nov. 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Red’s Bar & Grill, featuring spirits inspired by the Roaring 20s.
Dine
Head to Litchfield’s Bar on Nov. 27 from 5 to 9 p.m. to enjoy live Jazz and a complimentary chef’s selection charcuterie-and-cheese board with the purchase of a bottle of wine. On Thanksgiving Day, dig into anniversary-themed cuisine in The Wigwam Ballroom.
Spa
Enjoy the 1929 Facial at the LeMonds Aveda Salon – Spa. The 50-min. treatment features lots of Vitamin C to leave the skin, smooth, nourished, hydrated and youthful. Available through November. $180
Golf
For golfers, take advantage of the 90th Anniversary Golf Special with one round on any of the resort’s three onsite courses (The Gold, The Blue and The Red), plus themed amenities including The Wigwam’s logoed shirt, The Wigwam’s logoed 1929 Cap and a sleeve of Titleist Tour Soft Golf Balls.
