Nothing says posh accommodations like a penthouse suite. And at W Scottsdale, there’s six shiny new ones to choose from. The custom suites debuted in June and are the first phase of a property-wide renovation to celebrate the hip hotel’s 10th anniversary. We enjoyed a recent staycation in one and they proved as luxe as you’d expect.

Cool Amenities
The exclusive suites are located on the top floor of the hotel and can only be accessed via private elevator. The entrance to our WOW Suite led us past the first of three bathrooms and into the middle of the suite. To our right was the living room, bedroom and laundry room (yes, laundry room!) and to the left was a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a dining area and spacious master bedroom. Floor-to-ceiling windows stretching from the dining area to the living room showcased the surrounding desert horizon while a large balcony overlooked lively Old Town Scottsdale.
As expected, the suite was decked out in total W-style. Sleek furnishings, hardwood flooring and mid-century modern decor gave it a somewhat futuristic feel, in a very chic way.
The W Way
While the suites could easily be enjoyed as a romantic getaway or luxe solo stay, they’re ideal for groups of friends looking to hit the town. With the hotel situated within walking distance to the nearby nightclubs and in close proximity to all of Scottsdale’s hottest dining and shopping, the suites are perfect for occasions like a girls getaways or bachelor and bachelorette party. One could easily spend the day poolside at the WET Deck before sipping a pre-dinner cocktail in the Living Room, followed by a classy dinner at on-site Sushi Roku and a night out in Old Town.
Penthouse Options
The new suites are offered in a variety of sizes including one one-bedroom Fantastic Suite (starting at $859), two two-bedroom Extreme WOW Suites (starting at $1,759) and three two-bedroom WOW Suites (starting at $959). Each suite includes complimentary wifi and a welcome amenity. Extreme WOW Suites also include a $50 food and beverage credit and either roundtrip transportation to the airport or complimentary valet.
Coming Soon
Along with the new penthouse suites, the rest of W Scottsdale is preparing to receive an update. Enhancements include a refresh of the WET Deck and Living Room plus the opening of Away Spa in October which will replace the former Bliss Spa.
