Montage Big Sky, the new modern alpine retreat by Montage Hotels & Resorts, is transforming the winter season for visitors in Montana with a first-of-its-kind luxury and mountain resort experience.
The resort opened in December 2021 as Montana’s first five-star hotel. With 100 rooms and suites across 500,000 square feet of property and nightly rates ranging from $525 to $12,000, Montage Big Sky is also the largest and priciest resort in the state.
Guests are treated to premier services that all embody the rocky mountain scene unique to Montana, such as the signature restaurant, Cortina, which serves herb crusted venison on the menu. In addition to the resort’s main dining experience, Montage Big Sky features five other dining venues, the first full-service spa experience in the area, an expansive fitness center and indoor lap pool, Big Sky’s only bowling alley, a boutique featuring boots and apparel that could be straight out of the TV series “Yellowstone,” and of course, spectacular views of Montana’s vast wilderness.
Located less than an hour away from Yellowstone National Park, the resort also allows guests to take advantage of the great outdoors in one of the country’s most sought-after destinations. In the winter, guests have access to an ice skating rink and tubing hill, as well as a chairlift that connects skiers to 85 miles of trails at Big Sky Resort with lift tickets during high season reaching as much as $300. In the summer, the resort offers outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking and ziplining.
In addition to guest experiences, Montage Big Sky is home to 39 private residences that start at $1,500,000 and include an exclusive après ski residents’ lounge, ski lockers, underground parking and membership to the Spanish Peaks Mountain Club.
