Valentino, a renowned fashion house known for its timeless designs and sophisticated use of color, has dominated the hot couture and ready-to-wear fashion scenes for decades. Founder Valentino Garavani established the eponymous brand in 1960 and directed it for decades. Many dream of owning a historic Valentino garment, but now a new Valentino dream has emerged. Garavani’s 600-year-old, exquisitely designed Roman palazzo penthouse is now available to rent out.
Travelers to Rome can vacation at the fashion icon’s previous residence and experience a luxury getaway. The penthouse is located within walking distance of top tourist attractions, like the Colosseum, Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. Inspirato, a luxury vacation rental company, rents out the designer’s penthouse on its digital platform. While Inspirato only makes reservations with members, it is free to create an account.
The penthouse boasts three exquisitely designed bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms, luxury appliances and elegant design elements. Antique tile flooring and timber ceilings are balanced with sage green accents to create a cohesive living space. The penthouse features two rooftop terraces. With unobstructed views of the city and covered areas for privacy, guests can spend afternoons lounging in the private hot tub or grilling in the outdoor kitchen.
Pricing varies, depending on length of stay and time of year. Booking seven nights will earn a better nightly rate compared to shorter stays. Traveling in groups, since the penthouse can host six people, will also help balance costs. One estimated cost for a seven-night stay in March averaged down to $2,379 per night, or $16,653 for the week.
