Whether you’re lighting a new flame or fanning an old one, Omni Montelucia is one of the best places to celebrate love.
Joya Spa
In the land of resort spas, Joya stands out. Its stunning 31,000-sq.-ft. facilities are decked out with Moroccan and Spanish designs, as opposed to boring white tile walls. Unwind in the steam room, whirlpool, sauna and cozy relaxation room. Even those with just a day pass can gain access to all of the spa’s perks. Amp up the romance by meeting your other half at the spa’s terrace pool that overlooks Camelback Mountain. Exclusive to spa guests, the pool offers dining and cocktails and is heated to a mild 85-degrees all year.
Prado
The enchanting signature restaurant is fit for any type of celebration. Wrought-iron light fixtures, outdoor fireplaces and a down-right unreal menu lend to the ultra-romantic atmosphere. We suggest snagging a table for two on the beautiful patio to enjoy an al fresco dinner reminiscent of a night in Europe.
Since the menu is packed with the flavors of Spain, digging into their paella is a no-brainer. Their specialty dish can be ordered up three different ways, but we suggest the Prado Paella. The insanely savory dish is packed with seafood including shrimp, scallops and langostino and topped with a juicy lobster tail over forbidden rice and chorizo. We could stop there but for even more good eats, be sure to order the baked triple cream brie beforehand. The small loaf of sourdough is baked with brie inside so it’s ooey-gooey-good upon arrival to the table.
The outlet also has a spacious bar to post up at for a glass of wine while its tapas bar is a great spot for snacking and sipping. Visit on Saturdays to indulge in the full tapas experience which lets diners chat with the chef while trying the entire tapas menu.
Resort Grounds
A stay at Omni Montelucia feels like a trip to a small Andalusian village. The ambiance and Spanish vibe is not just found in the rooms and spa, but throughout the entire resort. A morning stroll around the property offers tons of photo opportunities with towering palms, pink flowers, arched walkways and fountains, all with the breathtaking backdrop of Camelback Mountain. There’s plenty of seating throughout to cozy up with a cup of coffee from Crave Café in the morning or fireside with a glass of wine from Prado in the evening.
Furthermore, the resort is known as a great destination for weddings. Tie the knot and you may even find yourself on one of the walls of Prado which celebrates the many couples who have been married at the property over the years.
