Great Wolf Lodge Celebrates Anniversary with Slide-A-Thon Event

For the past five years, Great Wolf Lodge, located at 7333 N. Pima Road in Scottsdale, has entertained families from near and far with its 85,000-square-foot indoor waterpark, attractions, themed rooms, and dining options. The team at Great Wolf is celebrating in style this year by hosting a “slide-a-thon” to benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Making the event even more exciting is an appearance by Phoenix native and Olympic gold medal gymnast Jade Carey. Carey will kick off the slide-a-thon by being the first person to plunge down the Diamondback Drop and secure a $5,000 donation for PCH. Beginning September 5 at 10 a.m. through park close, Great Wolf Lodge will donate $5 to Phoenix Children’s for every guest who goes down the Diamondback Drop slide.

Great Wolf Lodge has guaranteed a minimum $10,000 donation as part of the “slide-a-thon,” hoping that more families will participate and raise more money for Phoenix Children’s.

The resort is also offering a two-day fifth-anniversary sale with up to 50 percent off resort stays by using promotional code “BIRTHDAY.” Five dollars from each reservation will be donated to PCH. To take advantage of this discount, guests must book on either September 5 or September 6 for stays through December 29, 2024.

Great Wolf Resort’s centerpiece is its 85,000-square-foot indoor waterpark, equipped with various slides, a lazy river, and more. The resort also features an oversized resort-style outdoor pool to soak in the desert sun.

Ideal for children under 10, the Great Wolf Adventure Park includes a bowling alley, Northern Lights arcade, miniature golf course and MagiQuest. In this live-action adventure game, kids can discover relics and runes needed to assist pixies and defeat a fierce dragon.

Within the lodge are multiple shopping experiences, including a candy store and Build a Bear workshop. When it’s time for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, Great Wolf offers nine different dining options—including a marketplace for quick grab-and-go options. Guests who are just looking to spend time at the park without the stay can grab full- and half-day passes at $100 for a full day and $90 for half. For more information, visit greatwolf.com.
