The new AC Hotel by Marriott – Downtown Phoenix at Arizona Center has officially broken ground. The hotel, which is a joint venture development by Dallas-based NewcrestImage and Las Vegas-based LaPour Partners, will be the first upscale select-service lifestyle hotel in Downtown Phoenix. The hotel’s design will channel Arizona Center‘s “live, work, play” mantra with a unique indoor-outdoor lobby lounge and bar that overlooks the heart of Arizona Center.
“Downtown Phoenix is becoming a hub for entertainment, shopping, dining and so much more. With the recent improvements to Arizona Center, and the addition of the new AC Hotel by Marriott, out-of-town visitors will soon be able to enjoy all that downtown Phoenix has to offer, and we are thrilled to be at the center of it all.”
Matt Root, Managing Partner for Parallel Capital Partners, owner and manager of the center
Scheduled to be completed by the first quarter of 2021, the 13-story hotel will offer 199 rooms, 3,400 square feet of meeting space, two media salons and a board room with indoor and outdoor accommodations. The lounge and lobby bar will feature signature craft cocktails, tapas, an outdoor patio with distinctive water feature and cozy fireplaces. The urban-inspired boutique hotel boasts a penthouse fitness center, library, business center, hydration stations and The Market, offering various sundries and items travelers may need.
The AC Hotel by Marriott experience has been designed to give guests the essentials of an experience unlike any other. Breakfast finds inspiration in European roots, room service is replaced with the flexibility of a quick snack or small plates and the cocktails are artistic, flavorful and fresh. AC is a member of the Marriott family of brands with 110 AC Hotels throughout Europe and North and Latin America.
Collaborating with NewcrestImage and LaPour Partners on the project are Phoenix-based contractor Layton Construction, architect Axis GFA Architecture & Design in Los Angeles and interior designer DESIGN Duncan Miller Ullman in Dallas. This is LaPour’s second AC Hotel in Phoenix. The firm opened the AC Biltmore in the Camelback corridor in 2018.
