The brand new United Airlines lounge at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor airport is now open for travelers to enjoy.
It has been over two years that a United lounge hasn’t been available to those traveling in and out of Phoenix after the airline’s previous lounge in Terminal 2 permanently closed down with the rest of the terminal in 2020.
Flyers will find the new 6,080-square-foot space in Terminal 3 where United now operates. The hub holds seats for 122 guests, which is almost twice the room that the old lounge in Terminal 2 offered.
The lounge’s many new features and amenities will provide a relaxing environment where guests can take advantage of Wifi and travel assistance or grab drinks and a bite to eat in between their flights. The area also features private, inclusive restrooms as well as a multi-purpose wellness room, which includes a baby changing station and a place to meditate or pray.
The Sky Harbor lounge will resemble United’s aesthetic that is consistent throughout its other airport lounges including its largest and well-known Newark lounge, but it will also have features that are unique to the desert and people of Arizona.
Guests will find artwork designed by Arizona natives Blaise Danio and Carolina Caples inside the lounge as well as furniture and murals created by other local artists.
Located near Gate E3, the United lounge is now open from 5 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
