North Block Napa Unveils New Restaurant by Former Momofuku Chef

North Block hotel is slated to open a brand new dining concept this month that highlights seasonal California cuisine within an approachable neighborhood locale.

Headlined under the direction of former Momofuku New York chef Nick Tamburo, the restaurant at North Block will establish the award-winning boutique hotel as a singular destination for food, drink and lodging within the heart of Napa Valley’s Yountville.

Guests can look forward to simple dishes utilizing local ingredients infused with raw and smokey elements, like a Duck a la Gray with lime pickle and crème fraiche, Whole Petrale Sole roasted in seaweed, naturally-leavened pizzas, and much more. Being in Napa, the wine list will naturally spotlight local winemakers alongside a curated selection of European vintners.

The kick-back-and-relax feel is reflected in the warm and welcoming indoor-outdoor design. Featuring earthy hues and wood tones, interior designer Erin Martin enlisted complementary touches by international artisans, including a hand-painted mural in the 10-seat private dining room by Berlin muralist Michael Dute, as well as oversized porcelain magnolia flowers by New York-based artist Owen Mann.
