The Scottsdale Plaza Resort has just completed its three-year improvement plan which upgraded many of the rooms and common areas, adding an updated look and another reason to book a stay. So what exactly is new? Let’s take a look at what the resort’s been up to the past couple of years.
In 2015, the resort took to making over its Standard Rooms by replacing bathtubs with glass-walled showers, adding new flooring by Heritage Interiors throughout the vanity and shower, expanding the closet and vanity bathroom area and adding new chairs and desks by Living Spaces. Additionally, new framed vanity-lighted mirrors by Electric Mirrors, granite on wet bars and vanities by Arizona Tile and in-room refrigerators were added.
The Suite Category of rooms were completed in 2016 which included new bed frames and matching dressers, all new furniture, artwork and lighting in the living room areas, new in-room charging stations and many of the upgrades that were featured in the standard rooms plus mounted wall televisions and new plumbing fixtures.
This year, the common grounds received the royal treatment with new furniture, lighting, flooring, wall coverings, art and accessories added to the Garden Court Restaurant, ballrooms, front desk, lobby, meeting spaces, restrooms and the gift shop, now known as The Market.
To celebrate the brand new, swanky look, the resort is hosting an open house on November 2 for meeting and event professionals complete with guided property tours, cocktails and culinary demonstrations and drawings for room stays.
