The 7th annual “Nightmare on Princess Drive” returns to haunt the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess for Halloween this year with a ghoulish zombie apocalypse.
This year’s supernatural theme is “Quarantined: The Zombie Apocalypse,” where the walking dead are invading The Plaza Bar on Sat., Oct. 29, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Quarantined by a chain link fence, caution tape, flickering lights, zombie warning signs and overgrown vines, party-goers enter at their own risk. DJ Pulse will mix the best lounge and dance music, setting the stage for wandering corpses and a Halloween costume contest at the bewitching hour of midnight.
Zombies will serve enticing concoctions at $14 each, including:
- Corpse Reviver #2– Made with equal parts ¾ oz. gin, Cointreau, Lillet Blanc and lime juice. To make at home, combine all ingredients and shake well. Double strain in to a martini glass that has an absinthe rinse. Garnish with a lemon peel.
- Creepy Nights– Made with 1 ½ oz. bourbon, ¾ oz. lemon juice, ¾ oz. of red wine and ½ oz. of simple syrup. Combine all ingredients except red wine and shake well. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice and pour red wine to float on top.
Admission to the party is complimentary. Ghouls can R.I.P. and take comfort with a reserved table and bottle service by calling 480-585-2694.
The Plaza Bar opens at 7 p.m., with the party starting in at 9 p.m., and is located at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess at 7575 East Princess Drive in Scottsdale.
