We’re recapping our favorite stays of the past week beginning with a trip to the alter at the California West Inn & Suites in Carlsbad.
West Inn & Suites offers couples a place to relax and focus on enjoying their engagement while the hotel’s Romance Maestro handles all the details with the hotel’s Elopement Package. The hotel can even provide a customized wedding experience for a party of two up to eight including accommodations, customized dining experience, transportation, and even the special person who officiates the ceremony. And yes, they also accommodate your furry friends.
Couples will be guided through their options so they can select the venue that best reflects their love story, and on-site restaurants, Bistro West and West Steak and Seafood, make ideal venues for intimate dining experiences. Their Executive Chef, Eugenio Martignago, can create special menus tailored to the couple. Both restaurants take an authentic farm-to-table approach to dining, using ingredients and produce grown at the three-acre West Farm.
Next, we meet love, treachery, and melodies. These three ingredients make up the recipe for the first hit season of ABC’s Nashville. If you haven’t watched an episode, you should. It depicts the country music industry, strong feminine leads, and incredibly real human emotional struggles in relationships. But what the show also depicts is the very setting of the season, shot in the actual city of Nashville, where our next stay come in.
This summer, Music City’s Hotel Preston celebrates the creative spirit of Nashville with its “Nashville Dreamin” package. This package is perfect for TV junkies, music lovers and any traveler who wants to get to know the great city of Nashville, with access to the city’s musical landmarks and a real recording session, while staying at the city’s most delightfully uncommon hotel.
Next, we are kicking off a little Memorial Day Weekend preview at the Scottsdale favorite, Hotel Valley Ho. Begin your weekend extravaganza next Friday (May 31) with music from Elvis before Noon from 3-6 p.m, while sipping on Skyy Vodkas. If you book the hotel’s Stay 2 Play Package, be welcomed with two drinks upon arrival, $20 nightly resort credit, and be automatically entered to win a number of stay packages, including a week-long trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico or a complimentary night at Valley Ho for Halloween.
On Saturday and Sunday, sleep in before heading to Zuzu for brunch on both days and indulge in decadent fare like a garden-fresh veggie omelet, breakfast parfait or red velvet waffles. What’s more, you can build your own drink at the Bloody Mary Bar for $5.
And finally, we whisk you away to the seaside retreat of El Encanto, the newest transplant from Orient-Express Hotels in Santa Barbara. The young hotel, El Encanto, radiates pastime glam and adds a little modern flair with luxe amenities.
Set throughout seven lush acres in Santa Barbara, El Encanto has been fully restored and consists of 92 individually designed California-style bungalows, with hardwood floors, plantation-style shutters, and bespoke accessories. The hotel revels in the California lifestyle, which radiates through all its aspects, from the restaurant menu to spa services.
