Visitors are invited to check out the 116th annual Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade, happening from December 18 to December 22. This iconic event along the California coast attracts viewers to nearly 50 locations along a 14-mile route.

The parade’s theme, “Christmas Across the Decades,” promises to take guests on a nostalgic journey with boats, yachts, kayaks, and canoes adorned in vibrant lights as they sail through Newport Harbor.

One of the most anticipated attractions is the 34th annual Lighting of the Bay at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina. Guests can enjoy nightly displays of breathtaking decorations, including 50 illuminated Christmas trees, making the bay shine just in time for Santa’s arrival.

For those searching for more dazzling displays, the “Best Christmas Lights in Newport Beach” includes the Ring of Lights on Balboa Island and Nights of 1000 Lights at Sherman Library & Gardens. The Ring of Lights features a route around two dozen beautifully decorated waterfront homes from December 18 to December 22.

Members and non-members can stroll through Sherman Library & Gardens’ picturesque grounds, where they’ll find a towering Christmas tree, a sparkling light tunnel, and the enchanting Moon Goddess.

New this year is a 3D interactive experience in the conservatory; a Scandinavian-style Christmas set up in the sun garden, and a dazzling Crystal Disco Christmas featuring a whimsical wishing tree. Tickets for this magical experience are $30 for members and $50 for non-members.

Whether escaping the Valley for a festive getaway or seeking a holiday break, Newport Beach offers endless ways to make the season more special. For more, visit visitnewportbeach.com.
