Trailborn, one of the fastest-growing names in outdoor hospitality, has just unveiled its latest gem: Trailborn Grand Canyon. Situated in Williams, this marks the brand’s fifth hotel opening, joining the ranks of other notable locations such as the Rocky Mountains and the Highlands in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains.
Trailborn brings a reimagined, fully renovated hotel to the heart of Route 66. This new addition introduces a saloon-style events space, a vibrant restaurant and bar, and family-friendly activities, all within walking distance of Williams’ historic town center, known as the “Gateway to the Grand Canyon.”
Williams is known for its historic Route 66 strip, which features diners, roadside signs, and Western-themed establishments. As home to the Grand Canyon Railway, the town connects visitors directly to the South Rim, a prime location for those seeking to explore the park.
“We are thrilled to bring the experience to one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world on one of the most iconic roads in the country,” Co-founder and Co-CEO Mike Weiss said. “Trailborn Grand Canyon embodies our commitment to creating thoughtful, memorable stays in the country’s most incredible outdoor destinations. We look forward to welcoming guests to the Grand Canyon and other nearby attractions.”
In collaboration with award-winning design firm Lake Flato, Trailborn Grand Canyon reimagines the property to blend historic elements with contemporary flair. Original features like the monument sign and saloon-style event space reflect the area’s past, while curated art, vintage finds, and a Southwestern aesthetic add a modern touch.
Guests can enjoy a range of activities, from outdoor spaces featuring a pool, hot tub, bocce court, kids’ play area, and firepit, to indoor fun at Camp Hall. This social hub serves as the gathering spot for up to 200 people, offering live music, Wild West Bingo, movie nights, darts and shuffleboard. The property also features an onsite retail market offering local goods, sundries, and an elevated coffee program.
Later this spring, Trailborn Grand Canyon will debut Miss Kitty’s, a full-service southwest steakhouse and bar. The restaurant will feature handcrafted tiles, dark woods, and a palette inspired by the desert landscape, complemented by playful Western details. Miss Kitty’s will offer daily breakfasts, Sunday brunches, and a full dinner and bar menu.
Guests can also enjoy curated, location-specific activities like guided hikes, stargazing, helicopter rides, and engaging on-site activities. Every stay includes bespoke Field Guides, bicycles for exploring the grounds and nearby town, branded coolers, binoculars, a custom scavenger hunt board for kids, and access to a team of experts who personalize each visit.
Trailborn has partnered with the Grand Canyon Conservancy as part of its commitment to preserving the natural beauty of the country’s iconic landmarks.
A portion of proceeds from every room booking made on the Trailborn website will go directly to supporting the organization’s efforts to protect and preserve the Grand Canyon through restoration, wildlife protection, and education programs. For more information, visit trailborn.com.
