Feta Cowboy: A Blend Of The Mediterranean and Southwest

Feta Cowboy, the highly anticipated fast-casual restaurant from the culinary team behind Pita Jungle, has officially opened its doors in Tempe. This exciting dining adventure combines the bold, vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean and the Southwest, offering a menu of in-house crafted dishes with customizable, build-your-own options that will satisfy every palate.

Spanning 2,800 square feet, Feta Cowboy boasts an inviting and spacious atmosphere. The restaurant features an assembly-style ordering system, allowing guests to build their meals to their liking. With a main dining area and a large patio that accommodates up to 90 guests, it’s ideal for everything from a quick lunch to a leisurely dinner. Feta Cowboy is open seven days a week, serving lunch and dinner, and offers a relaxing space to enjoy a meal paired with a glass of wine.

The restaurant’s design draws inspiration from the adventurous spirit of Arizona and Southern California in the 1970s. Its focal point is a stunning horse and rider mural. The artwork adds a unique touch, combining rustic charm with a modern industrial aesthetic that perfectly complements the restaurant’s bold culinary offerings.

The menu celebrates diverse global flavors. The concept blends the best elements of Mediterranean and Southwestern cuisines, resulting in dishes where rustic flatbreads meet tortillas, shawarmas meet asada, and kebabs meet barbecue.

Signature menu items include bowls, burritos, and pitas, along with a variety of dips and seven flavorful sauces, such as Zhug, harissa, and toom. Guests can choose from an array of ingredients, such as Calrose and basmati rice, green lentils du puy, Roma beans, and proteins like brisket, birria, shawarma, taouk, and gyro. All proteins are slowly braised, grilled, or cooked fresh off the rotisserie to ensure a rich, satisfying flavor with every bite.

For families, the ‘Lil Cowboys’ kids’ meal offers a build-your-own option, making it easy to cater to younger diners. The menu also features a range of choices for various dietary preferences, ensuring there is something for everyone, whether you’re crafting your own dish or enjoying a pre-designed option like the spicy chicken bowl or the hummus and brisket.

“At Feta Cowboy, the food and flavors are a delicious manifestation of our beautiful American gastronomical experience and the interconnectedness of global cuisine,” Co-founder Bassel Osmani said. “Healthy nutrition and layers of flavor come together in unique ways to create simply amazing food.”
