Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation Sponsors Baxter’s Kitchen

The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children (ACFC) for the grand opening of Baxter’s Kitchen.

Located in Scottsdale, Baxter’s Kitchen has one goal: to help feed children battling cancer and their families. The unveiling will take place on September 5 from 4 to 6 p.m., with appetizers, drinks, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Baxter’s Kitchen was designed by Social Design Studio and is located inside ACFC’s facility at 7010 E Cochise Road. The nonprofit moved into the new location a couple of years ago and has worked with sponsors to revamp the 12,000-square-foot property into a place that offers children “the gift of childhood in a safe, hyper-clean, comforting environment – with a combination of peace of mind and marvel under one roof.”

Since its founding in 1997, the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation has focused its donations on children’s programs, including ACFC, homelessness, and indigent healthcare. Since then, the foundation has donated more than $75 million to local nonprofits and charities across Arizona.

The Foundation’s philanthropic work helped establish Baxter’s Kitchen by adding 40 seats at the buffet-style restaurant. Its support of ACFC has helped it continue its mission “to provide social, emotional, and financial support to families managing the health and well-being of a loved one with pediatric cancer.” The eatery will also offer convenient pre-made meals that families can take home.

Baxter’s Kitchen’s mission centers on providing families with food that is easy to eat. The opening also coincides with ACFC’s 10-year anniversary.

“We are deeply grateful to the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation for helping us create this haven of warmth and care, ensuring that every family feels supported and cherished,” ACFC President and Founder Chrisie Abramo said. “Seeing the children and their families enjoy community and support within this space is incredibly heartwarming and vital to our mission.”

Since its inception, ACFC has helped serve 400 families a year, with an ambitious goal of serving 1,200 families over the next ten years. Those interested in volunteer opportunities, donating, or more information about the opening of Baxter’s Kitchen can visit azcancerfoundation.org.
