Postino WineCafé’s iconic bruschetta contest is back for another season with the second annual Battle of the Bruschetta, a summer-long, bracket-style competition between four limited-time bruschetta recipes.
This year’s out-of-the-box bites include French Onion (roasted garlic aioli, gruyere, braised white onions and melted brie); Buffalo Cauliflower (buffalo cauliflower, cambozola ranch yogurt, celery and chives); Philly Cheesesteak bruschetta (roasted garlic aioli, chopped steak, caramelized onion and peppers, fondue and chili oil); and Berry Mascarpone, a sweet alternative featuring blackberry mascarpone, graham cracker streusel, macerated blueberry, lemon and powdered sugar.
The competition began July 1, with each “battle” running for 30 days. Finals kick off September 1, with the champion crowned September 16. Throughout each battle, guests can order two competing bruschetta flavors and vote on their favorite by texting “BATTLE” to 602.637.1510 each round. The champion bruschetta will earn a coveted permanent spot on Postino’s menu for all to enjoy throughout the fall season.
- Battle 1: July 1–31 | Berry Mascarpone vs. French Onion
- Battle 2: August 1–31 | Philly Cheesesteak vs. Buffalo Cauliflower
- Battle 3 (Championship): September 1–15 | Winners of Battle 1 & 2
- Champion announced on @postinowinecafe social media: September 16, 2024
Each competing bruschetta was masterfully created by Postino Executive Chefs who now share their recipes with Postino patrons nationwide. Last year, over 28,600 votes were recorded, with “Mexican Street Corn” bruschetta taking the win and earning a spot on the current Postino menu.
Arizona’s original local wine café, Postino’s story began 23 years ago with a vision and some homegrown determination. After the renovation of the historic Arcadia Post Office building, the partners built their foundation on unique, approachable wines; simple, delicious food prepared fresh with local ingredients; and a warm, edgy culture bringing everyone together. Today, Postino continues the tradition at over 25 unique locations across five states, many set in historically relevant buildings integral to the surrounding neighborhoods.
Postino currently has eight locations across Arizona. Visit postinowinecafe.com for more details.
