Bourbon & Bones Expands Old Town Location

Bourbon & Bones Chophouse | Bar has added an intimate seating option to its dining experience at the Old Town Scottsdale location. What was once the cocktail lounge has now become the Annex.

Bourbon & Bones – known for its extensive whiskey and bourbon selection and impeccable steaks – will now offer three seating areas: the dining room, the bar, or the Annex, which will continue to serve Executive Chef Mutaz “Taz” Fakhouri’s menu. The Annex’s 3,300 square feet will keep the comfortable style of the dining areas with similar decor and dining options.

Guests can choose from the walnut tables and booths, the patio with sleek leather seating and marble tables, or perch on the extravagant bar with stunning granite and pendant lighting. The menu features bone-in cuts and chops, fresh seafood, and signature side dishes in an upscale, hospitable setting.

Popular menu highlights include Raw Bar selections such as Alaskan king crab legs, caviar, and oysters; appetizers featuring The Devil’s Cut Hot Rock, crab cakes, a grilled seafood platter, bone marrow, and prime carpaccio; and the star of the show: beef cuts ranging from the finest USDA prime tomahawk ribeye to a wagyu filet mignon and Japanese A5 strip, with a choice of several “Over The Top” finishes. A selection of sides includes the decadent truffle lobster mac n’ cheese and the traditional loaded baked potato.

“We will be able to serve more of our guests with our quality fine dining experience,” said S. Barrett Rinzler, founder and CEO of Square One Concepts, the restaurant group behind Bourbon & Bones. “That’s the experience that launched our brand and what made us such a success. It’s what our patrons have come to expect. We’re very pleased to accommodate even more of them.”

Since opening in 2016, the restaurant has gained a reputation for its curated selection of over 860 bourbons and whiskeys. In the Annex, guests will have a smaller selection but will choose from fan favorites and an assortment of rare finds. In addition, the world-class wine and cocktail offering is second to none in the region and features a robust Coravin program with a list of coveted wines by the glass, pleasing to any wine connoisseur.

After growing into an adored fine-dining establishment, Bourbon & Bones opened a second location in Gilbert in 2021 and launched its newest restaurant in Peoria in 2023. The Annex will be a completely original addition to the existing flagship restaurant.

“What has happened almost organically is each Bourbon & Bones has taken on the personality of its surrounding area,” Rinzler said. “This is apparent in Old Town Scottsdale, Gilbert, and Peoria. We anticipate that evolution at the Annex. We’re thrilled to have more capacity for our brand of fine dining.”
