Churn has released a new tasty ice cream flavor this month, Rodeo Queen, to support an organization that focuses on the well-being of Arizona’s LGBTQ+ community.
Churn is an ice cream parlor in Phoenix that creates delicious, nostalgic ice cream and sweet treats. Churn’s Rodeo Queen is a limited-edition ice cream flavor that features a sweet ice cream with lemon curd and a lemon cupcake drizzled with strawberry syrup that’s all topped off with a little pink cowboy hat.
Churn customers can now give back to the community just by getting a scoop of this decadent ice cream flavor. For every scoop of Rodeo Queen ice cream purchased, $1 will be donated to One Community from now through June, which is also Pride Month.
One Community’s mission is to bring workplace equality and equal treatment in housing and public accommodations for the LGBTQ+ community in Arizona through educational and advocacy programs.
Since One Community is, “a voice of inclusion in Arizona,” the organization activates community outreach by partnering with local businesses, like Churn, that support their cause, according to One Community Founder Angela Hughey.
“It’s a pleasure to partner with Churn on this impactful (and delicious) collaboration,” says Hughey.
Churn’s ice cream, cookies and tasty treats are all homemade with love, using simple and fresh ingredients to bring customers back to an easier time when ice cream was not made with hard-to-pronounce preservatives.
Churn is attached to the neighborhood restaurant and bar, Windsor. Both Churn and Windsor are allowing customers the option to round up to the nearest dollar to benefit One Community’s cause.
Located on Central and Camelback, Churn is open Monday–Friday from 11a.m.–11 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m.–11 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m.–10 p.m.
