The month of May is full of opportunities for Valley diners to raise money and awareness of Cystic Fibrosis. RnR and The Melting Pot are two local restaurants giving back this month:
On Thursday, Old Town Scottsdale’s RnR is hosting an event for 3-WON: The 31 days of May to beat Cystic Fibrosis. The evening event asks for individual $15 donations for Cystic Fibrosis which includes admission to the event, wine tasting and passed appetizers. A $100 VIP table of four includes a cheese plate, bottle of wine and four admissions, not to mention a general sense of benevolence. Also there will be live guitar entertainment and prizes drawings throughout the night. If you can’t make it to RnR on Thursday, guests can donate throughout the month of May at the bottom of their receipt. http://www.rnrscottsdale.com/.
The Melting Pot’s three Valley locations are also teaming up to fight against Cystic Fibrosis. For the entire month of May, $2 from each specialty cosmopolitan sold at each Valley location (Scottsdale, Arrowhead and Ahwatukee) will be donated directly to the Arizona Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. http://www.meltingpot.com/.
The speciality cocktails include:
Blonde Ambition: SKYY infusion pineapple vodka with fresh lime juice and triple sec with a dash of clear Crème de Cacao and garnished with a lemon peel twist.
Glamour Gal: SKYY vodka with fresh lemon and lime juices layered with simple syrup with a drop of Crème de Cassis, perfectly served in a martini glass with red sugar crystals.
Jet Setter: A classic vodka and soda combination for an oldie but goody drink experience.
