A new modern American restaurant with coastal Mediterranean influences is set to spice up the Scottsdale dining scene this summer. Founded by restaurateur Eric J. Greenwald, Executive Chef Christopher Brugman, and Owner and Investor Mark Goldberg, Heritage Kitchen + Cocktails will open in Scottsdale near Bell Road and Thompson Peak Parkway.
The menu will feature dishes thoughtfully curated by Brugman, who has earned accolades including a James Beard Taste America award, a feature in Food & Wine Magazine, and an appearance as a finalist on Food Network’s Chopped. With more than 15 years of experience, Brugman has infused each dish with vibrant spices and ingredients inspired by the coastal kitchens of Southern Italy and Spain.
Brugman received his Grand Diplôme in Culinary Arts & Sciences from Le Cordon Bleu and began his culinary career in 2008. He has worked with notable chefs, including Michelin-starred Gordon Ramsay, James Beard and Michelin-starred chef David LeFevre, and local Scottsdale Hall of Fame Chef Charles Wiley. He was also part of two historic hotel openings: Mountain Shadows and Castle Hot Springs.
“With Executive Chef Christopher Brugman at the helm, we’re creating a truly unforgettable dining experience where people can connect over beautiful cuisine in an atmosphere that feels like home,” Greenwald said.
Heritage creates bold, inviting dishes using ultra-fresh seafood, premium meats, and locally sourced, seasonal produce. From fresh pasta and artisan pizzas to shareable plates and large-format entrées, the restaurant elevates familiar comfort foods for a globally inspired dining experience.
The space features warm wood tones, sleek black accents, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a striking wine display that serves as the focal point of the dining room as well as an open-air bar with over 1,500 square feet of intimate patio dining.
