Breakfast restaurant, Over Easy, launches its Third Annual Over Easy Broken Egg Breakfast Challenge, sponsored by Hickman’s Eggs. The contest, which takes place now through Oct. 22, gives aspiring chefs and breakfast lovers a chance to share their favorite egg recipes, enjoy a benefit reception for St. Mary’s Food Bank and see their recipe featured on the 2015 Over Easy menu.
Entries to the Over Easy Broken Egg Breakfast Challenge can be submitted to Contest@EatAtOverEasy.com, through Wednesday, Oct. 22 or visit www.EatatOverEasy.com. Recipes are judged based on flavor, ingredients, creativity and presentation. Submissions are open to the public.
Two recipe finalists will be selected and featured at a closing reception at the Over Easy Arcadia location (there are four Valley locations), benefiting St. Mary’s Food Bank. The reception, open to the public for a donation, and Over Easy fans will have the opportunity to mingle, taste the two finalist’s recipes and anticipate the announcement of the winner that night.
The winner’s recipe will be featured on the 2015 menu of all four Over Easy locations. The winner also will receive a dozen eggs every week for a year, courtesy of Arizona’s own Hickman’s Eggs.
