Planning a feast for your dad this Father’s Day? Leave the work to the pros, as I’ve rounded up a few Valley resorts and restaurants that are hosting special Father’s Day spreads. Take a look (and make reservations pronto!):
The Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix
A complete Father’s Day To-Go Barbecue feast is offered this year from the Friday Night Grill at bistro 24 Restaurant. Available for pick-up at The Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix on Sunday, June 21, the meal serves four to six people and will include marinated ribeye steaks, sliced rack of lamb, jumbo shrimp skewers, chicken breasts, an array of fully-prepared side dishes, and dessert, presented in the same to-go boxes used for the hotel’s popular Thanksgiving Turkeys-to-Go. For guests wishing to celebrate the occasion at the hotel, Sunday brunch will also be served at bistro 24 on Father’s Day. You can pick up the delish spread at the hotel front drive between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on June 21. $195 plus tax. Orders must be placed in advance. 2401 E. Camelback Rd., Phoenix, 602.468.0700, http://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Default.htm.
Rawhide’s Steakhouse & Saloon
Round up the family and hit the dusty trail for a Father’s Day feast at Rawhide in Chandler where Dads’ receive a free–yes, free!–eight-ounce top choice prime rib with all the western fixins. (No minimum purchase required.) Guests are also invited to celebrate the holiday with live music, two-step dancing and entertainment throughout Main Street. The offer is good June 21 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. 5700 W. North Loop Rd., Chandler, 480.502.5600 Ext. 1204 (to make reservations), http://www.rawhide.com/.
Havana Cafe
Can’t fly Dad out to the Caribbean this Father’s Day? No worries. Take him to Havana Cafe this Sunday. Dad will be treated with a free entree, with the purchase of another entree. (We think some Calypso chips and a slice of lime pie will do the trick.) Father’s Day dinner is served from 4 to 9 p.m., and live music is on the agenda. Compass Restaurant
Hyatt Regency Phoenix’s signature restaurant will host a special Father’s Day brunch that will include delicious baked goods, salads, seafood, a baked potato bar, barbecue brisket, brats, omelets to order, doughnuts, a chocolate fountain and more. 122 N. Second St., Phoenix, 602.440.3166, http://phoenix.hyatt.com/.
Loews Ventana Canyon Resort
Guests can indulge on traditional brunch fare in addition to barbecue ribs and other items hot off the grill at the Tucson resort’s Blues, Brews & BBQ brunch. Guests will enjoy the sounds of a live blues band while sipping on micro-brews from Barrio Brewing, a local Tucson brewery. In addition to a variety of cold appetizers and salads, interactive food stations include homemade tortillas and guacamole, carvings of mustard crusted prime rib of Angus beef, a grill station featuring Backyard BBQ Beer Can Ribs, chicken and salmon with mango barbecue glaze, a variety of soups and fresh breads and an over-the-top dessert station complete with a chocolate fountain.
