Scotch, smokes and steaks…oh my! On Thursday, Jan. 21, J&G Steakhouse, at The Phoenician, is hosting The Glenlivet dinner, an exclusive tasting event featuring a combined 107 years of fine aged scotch. Starting with a reception on the restaurant’s west patio at 6 p.m., guests will be able to savor Glenlivet’s 12-year-old scotch paired with hors d’oeuvres and complimentary cigars by Scottsdale Cigar Club.
At 7 p.m., the party moves into J&G Steakhouses’s gorgeous dining room for a sumptuous four-course dinner, including butternut squash soup, sweet and sour pork belly, six peppercorn Prime NY steak and warm chocolate cake with caramel ice cream. Perfectly paired with a four of Glenlivet’s finest single malt scotches, the evening concludes with a toast of The Glenlivet XXV that’s been aged in sherry casks for 25 years.
During the course of the evening, guests will enjoy Glenlivet 12, Glenlivet Nadurra 16, 15-year-old French Oak Reserve, 18-year old, Archive 21 year-old, and a toast to cap off the evening of Glenlivet XXV. And don’t expect to go home empty-handed–guests will take home two Glencarin glasses. Tickets are $75 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
