Sexy. Swanky. Cool. A chic restaurant and tea house by day, and a glamorous velvet-roped adult playground by night, Narcisse Champagne and Tea Lounge at the Scottsdale Quarter has quickly morphed into the go-to destination for the Champagne swilling see-and-be-seen in Scottsdale. With more than 200 varietals of Champagne by the bottle and more than 75 by the glass, Narcisse serves more bubbles in a week than some bars and restaurants do all year.
An eclectic small-plate menu features chef-driven dishes inspired with French, American and Asian influences. Entertainment entrepreneurs Tom Zummo and Todd Rosenbaum designed Narcisse to inject a dose of glamour and fun into the North Scottsdale day and nightlife scene. After all, there are not many places in the Valley you can casually stop for a pre or post-shopping bite by day and return that same evening dressed to the nines for dinner and the evenings’ entertainment.
With its 6,500 sq. ft. second-story space, Narcisse offers stunning interior features that intermingles genres of stately old world opulence and the nuances of modern charm. Features include a state-of-the-art sound system, a distinctive “frozen Champagne” bar, expansive outdoor terrace and patio space, two mezzanine VIP areas and Las Vegas-inspired whimsical design details throughout.
“Champagne and tea are experiences that have typically been reserved only for special occasions and that’s exactly what we set out change when creating Narcisse,” said owner Tom Zummo.
“We want to take the stuffiness out of champagne and tea and make it a sexy, fun and affordable luxury that can be enjoyed in an upbeat and eccentric atmosphere that caters to all the senses,” he said, “It’s a lot of fun.”
Part of the fabulosity of Narcisse is how approachable they make champagne with recommendations that fit any palate and budget. For those who’d rather indulge in more traditional drinks, Narcisse also features an extensive wine list, exuberant specialty cocktails and beers.
The tea program is a relaxed, yet modern approach to traditional afternoon tea featuring flavored organic Tea Forte’, tea sandwiches, salties, chocolates and pastries like scones baked by hand daily. Designed to be fun, yet still elegant, the tea service is a popular alternative to traditional happy hour and champagne and Champ-TEA-nis can be added to the experience. With it’s selection of tiny pastries and sandwiches, tea service at Narcisse has even become popular as a birthday party destination for kids and pre-teens.
Narcisse also offers exclusive benefits through a unique membership program that offers points-per-dollars spent that can be redeemed for perks like complimentary bottles, VIP table service, bubbly selections from vaulted collections, private events, private entry and more. The membership program is designated by point levels that vary from the entry-level Tea Pot membership to the highest-level corporate membership called Nebuchadnezzar.
Zummo and Rosenbaum have a collective experience in the restaurant and nightlife industry that includes a decade-long partnership with Evening Entertainment Group (Axis Radius, Suede and Myst). The duo is more recently known for Barrio Cantina and Grill, the award-winning modern Mexican eatery located in Paradise Valley. Future projects are planned in both the restaurant and nightlife niches.
Narcisse Champagne and Tea Lounge is now open for lunch and dinner daily, Monday through Thursday noon until late, Friday and Saturday from noon to 2am. For reservations call 480.588.2244 or visit www.narcisselounge.com.
